WHAT IT TAKES TO BUILD A STRONG NETWORK

Even while the lifeless landscapes of deadest winter lie before us, the longing for spring never lies dormant. But how much success will the new season bring? Tomorrow’s results depend in large part on yesterday’s planting.

In our last editorial, we spoke about the power of networking. AAGEF provides you with a unique opportunity to network with your fellow alumni, which can improve significantly your chances of reaching your goals. Because whatever your goals are, as every master networker will tell you, there’s a good chance that you will need somebody’s help to reach them. And you improve your chances of finding such help if you reach out to your fellow alumni, because they are very predisposed to help you. So it’s time to come out of hibernation and use your AAGEF network.

However, making networking possible takes teamwork of course! And behind every successful network, there is a good team of volunteers who can be trusted with developing the right set of activities for the membership. Our team of board members and officers has done a fantastic job over the past two years in revamping AAGEF, now we need new energies to take AAGEF to the next level.

If this is a winter of discontent for you, you should be thinking of how you could help make future springs and summers glorious. So I invite you to look at the HELP WANTED section of this newsletter and to volunteer. Failure to plant or harvest is the death of the land. The vitality of our network is in your hands!

Yours truly,

Anne de Louvigny Stone
