In many parts of the world, people cannot claim title to the land they have owned for generations, denying them access to credit and certainty. Elena Panaritis (MBA03D) teaches housing finance and public policy reform, with a focus on property and institutions at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies, and elsewhere. In her eleven years working as an economist at the World Bank, she spearheaded property rights reform in Peru. This talk is a must for anyone interested in better understanding how to affect change in developing countries.
